Sundance Parties, Events Roundup for 2023 Festival

After two years of hosting an online festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sundance Film Festival returns to Park City this year for its 2023 edition from Jan. 19-29. Film lovers, filmmakers, industry insiders, actors, artists and more are expected to return en masse for the festivities that will include a packed calendar of parties, panels, concerts, gatherings and networking opportunities, in addition to all the big-screen showings.

Below is a roundup of all of the intel The Hollywood Reporter has gathered thus far, featuring events in Park City. All times listed are local.

Thursday, Jan. 19

Sundance Scoop – Day OneFilmmaker Lodge, 550 Main St., 1:30-2:30 p.m.A conversation and Q&A for media featuring Sundance Institute CEO Joana Vicente, Sundance director of programming Kim Yutani, senior programmer and strategic initiatives director John Nein with moderator Eugene Hernandez, incoming Sundance festival director and head of public programming.

Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance Presented by IMDbProBasin Recreation Fieldhouse, 1388 Center Drive, Park City, 7:15 p.m.The Sundance Institute presents kickoff festivities for the 2023 Sundance Film Festival with a program that honors Luca Guadagnino, Ryan Coogler, Nikyatu Jusu, W. Kamau Bell and others, a performance by Grammy Award winners Indigo Girls and a seated dinner. Proceeds from the event will support the Institute's year-round work, and it's all possible thanks to support from George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, Acura and Variety. White Claw Shore Club608 Main St. in Park City, Jan. 19-22 (Jan. 19: 1-10 p.m.; Jan. 20-22: 11 a.m.–10 p.m.)Presented by White Claw, the exclusive hard seltzer of Sundance Film Festival 2023, the first White Claw Shore Club in the U.S. will celebrate the next wave of creators in a premium lounge experience complete with live performances from emerging musicians, including Abraham Alexander, and immersive works from local artists. White Claw will also debut a new 30-second ad, directed by Laura M. Gonçalves, that will run in between every five films premiering at the fest. Attendees can visit a customizable beanie station, enter exclusive giveaways, or "grab a White Claw and chill." UTA HouseUTA House, private location, daily programming Jan. 20-22The agency mounts an invite-only, private house to host creatives, filmmakers, storytellers, executives and industry insiders for a weekend of programming, panels, parties and events. Elizabeth Banks, Susanna Fogel, Maryam Keshavarz, Thembi Banks and Lulu Wang are expected, along with Hartbeat and brands like Archer Roose, Barry's, Roku, Lyft, Mijenta Tequila, Free People, Simply Mixology and more. UTA will also host fitness and ski activations in partnership with Free People and Barry's Bootcamp on weekend mornings. The House is curated by UTA Entertainment & Culture Marketing.

Sunrise HouseRiverhorse on Main, 540 Main St., daily from Jan. 20-22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.Daniel Dae Kim's 3AD teams with Gold House and the Asian American Foundation (TAAF) to mount the Sunrise House, the official pan-AAPI house of the Sundance Film Festival. Shabbat Tent presents the annual Shabbat LoungeAddress provided upon RSVP, daily from Jan. 20-22The Shabbat Lounge returns to Sundance with a program of events that will include the signature Friday night Shabbat dinner, a Friday night Oneg Soirée, Saturday L’Chaim Cholent Chill, Saturday night Havdallah concert and a Sunday Jewish filmmakers and friends brunch. The Audible Listening Lodge at the Sundance Film FestivalKimball Terrace, 675 Main St., Jan. 20-22, daily programming from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.Audible invites Sundance Film Festival attendees to visit lodge for Audible listening stations showcasing a premium selection of stories and content across three themes — Wellbeing, Music and Storytelling — along with cozy seating with fireplaces and a heated yurt as well as free hot and cold beverages, empanadas, s’mores and more. It will also play host to conversations with filmmakers and creative in partnership with Variety.

Sommsation Lounge408 Main St., daily Jan. 20-22During the fest's first weekend, Sommsation will offer a limited number of curated sommelier-led wine tasting experiences for wine lovers and Sundance attendees to book. Programming will feature events, dinners, panels, integrated in music, fashion and food to immerse attendees in Native culture and celebrate its impact on society and pop culture.
